Shirley A. Voehringer

Shirley A. Voehringer November 14, 1935 – March 28, 2025 Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Carl Voehringer Jr.; son, Wayne “Skip” Voehringer; and son-in-law, Philip Cubiotti. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Bill) Youngman, Kathy Cubiotti and Donna Voehringer; daughter-in-law, Lynn Voehringer; grandchildren, Carley (Kenny) Beyer, Becca Youngman (Kyle Walton), Rikki (Chris) Carlton, Corinne (Stephen) Placious, Sam (Liz) Cubiotti and David Cubiotti; niece, Maribeth Hockey; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Shirley was born in Rochester, NY. Her police officer father and Suffragette mother laid the foundation to her life. She spent the summers taking the bus to Ontario Beach, where she loved riding the carousel. She attended Monroe High School, where she forged friendships with life long dear friends. Shirley and Carl became engaged on New Year’s Eve. They were married 61 years. She worked full time while raising four children. She travelled for her job, but always had dinner on the table, creatively using her crockpot for many of meals. Throughout her working career, Shirley boded with many of her coworkers, particularly Hannah and Cheryl. They were the 3 muskateers and life long friends. Family, friends and living life to the fullest was how Shirley lived. She was happy to take on the role of social director, weekends camping when the kids were young, later finding new friends and activities at Brennan’s Beach and then retiring to Florida, making more new friends and activities to plan. Shirley stressed the importance of family. She raised her children to be strong and encouraged independence as they navigated their lives. She was the pillar of the family. Shirley was a dedicated wife, mother and friend. She will be remembered for her smile, endless energy and kindness to all whom she encountered. Shirley lived a wonderful life, had no regrets and will be missed by all she left behind. Shirley’s life will be shared during her visitation at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home on Monday, April 14th from 10:30am-1pm, with her service immediately following calling at the funeral home.
