Rosalie A. Azzolino

Rosalie A. Azzolino Chili: Saturday, November 15, 2025. Predeceased by her parents, Paul and Mildred Peraino. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Anthony; children, Steven Azzolino, Susan Azzolino and Lisa (Mike) Testa; grandchildren, Randall and Grace; great-grandchildren, Salvatore, Lorenzo, Ava, Tristan and Lydia; siblings, Paula (Mark) Waldman, Joe (Carol) Peraino, Tom Peraino and Mary (John) Chiavetta; sisters-in-law, Elaine Tripi and Mary Azzolino; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Rosalie was born in Rochester, New York, the oldest of five children. She spoke frequently of growing up in such a “care-free” time, and spending many hours hanging out with her siblings and large extended family. She looked upon those days with great fondness, and loved to tell her children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren of her adventures as a young woman. Her love of traveling started at an early age, taking trips to the Midwest and West Coast as a teenager. After her and Anthony were married she would always tag along on his many business trips, including New Orleans, Dallas, Salt Lake City and San Francisco. Later in life, trips to Nevada, Michigan, Virginia, South Carolina, Florida and Italy were always a topic of conversation. She enjoyed learning about new places, and meeting the people who lived there. Although she had a few different jobs as an adult, including working at the RCSB in Chili, and at the Chili Town Hall, her main focus was her family. Raising three children with Anthony, and opening her home of 62 years to all that needed a place to stay gave her great pride… as a mother, wife, daughter and sister. That focus never wavered as grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along. She always loved having family around, especially children, who she could share her many stories with. She was also very proud of her Sicilian heritage, and took every opportunity to teach the kids new words in Italian. Rosalie was also a dog lover, having them in her home for most of those 62 years. She loved flowers, whether having them in the house, or planting them in the garden. She and Anthony spent many summer nights on the front porch enjoying their gardens and greeting neighbors who walked by. She gave to many charities, especially those who help children. She will be missed by many, especially those whom she opened her doors for, who she shared her stories with, but most importantly, she will be missed by her family… Family and friends may call at the Leo M.
