Lawrence "Larry" Sulkowski

Lawrence “Larry” Sulkowski, 61, of Clarkson, passed away on May 31, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him, friends who cherished him and countless stories that begin with the words, “Do you remember when Larry…” Larry lived life on his own terms. He lived big, loved big, and did both unapologetically. Magnetic, larger than life and impossible to ignore, Larry had a way of drawing people in. His laugh filled rooms, his stories kept people entertained and his loyalty kept friends connected. He never met a stranger. Whether he had known someone for years or had just met them, Larry had a gift for making people feel welcome. If Larry knew you, you had a friend for life. And if you were lucky enough to be his friend, you knew it. For many, Larry was the glue that held people together. He was the one that made the call, organized the get-together or checked in just to see how someone was doing. He built friendships wherever he went, and he went many places. The people he loved knew they could count on him, and the people who counted on him became family. More than anything, Larry loved people and people loved him right back. Larry spent his career helping people through life’s transitions, most recently with Chipman Relocation & Logistics. The work suited him. He loved driving, loved being on the road and loved meeting new people along the way. Larry never did things halfway, especially when it came to things he loved. A devoted New York Yankees fan, proud member of the Bills Mafia and lifelong WWE enthusiast, he especially looked forward to Chris Jericho’s wrestling cruises, where he combined his love of wrestling, travel and camaraderie. He also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, a city whose energy matched his own. Family meant everything to Larry. His children, Stephen, Andrew and Hannah, were the pride of his life, and he loved them beyond words. He celebrated their successes, stood beside them through life’s challenges and never stopped believing in them. Becoming Papa to Ezreigh, Evelynn and Mason only expanded the love he carried in his heart. He adored his grandchildren and treasured every moment he spent with them. Their laughter, hugs and accomplishments filled him with pride and joy. Few people leave behind as many friends, stories and memories as Larry. The measure of his life can be found in the countless people who loved him and the friendships that lasted a lifetime. His absence will be deeply felt, but the memories, laughter and connections he leaves behind will continue to bring people together for years to come. Larry was predeceased by his father, Edward Sulkowski and his former wife, Lucy Sulkowski, the mother of his children. He is survived by his mother, Laura Sulkowski of Chili; his sister, Laurie (Meaghan McDermott) Sulkowski, of Ogden; his brother, Edward Sulkowski, of Chili; sons, Stephen Sulkowski and Andrew (Brittany Fowler) Sulkowski, of North Carolina; his daughter, Hannah (Cody) Rudolfs, of Clarkson; his cherished grandchildren, Ezreigh, Mason and Evelynn Rudolfs; his dear friends and chosen family, Kim Douglas and Frankie Rodriguez; and too many other relatives and lifelong friends to list. The world feels different without Larry in it, but the friendships he nurtured and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Anyone who knew him knows he would want us to keep gathering, keep laughing and keep telling the stories that begin “Do you remember when Larry…” Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Larry’s life on Sunday, June 14th from 1 to 6 p.m. at Cottonwood Lodge in Churchville Park, 101 North Main Street, Churchville, 14428.
