Rita Barone Gates - Friday, February 25, 2022 passed away peacefully at age 87. Predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Madelyn Barone; brothers, Phillip and Thomas Barone; sisters, Anita Barone, Carolyn DiBenedetto and Jeanette Sullivan; and nephew, Robert Barone. Survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Lorraine Early, Patty DeBurro, Carol Feis, David Sullivan, James and Thomas DiBenedetto, Denise Nowak, Karen, Lori, Thomas and Stephen Barone, and Diane Alexander; sister-in-law, Rosalie Barone. She had many great-nieces, nephews and dear friends that loved her so much and were very precious to her. She touched every one of us so deeply. She will be missed. No prior calling. Family and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass Tuesday 10am at St. Pius Tenth Church, 3000 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
