On Wednesday, December 2, 2020, Patricia "Pat" Bradt, passed away at the age of 73. Pat was born on April 5,1947 in Rochester, NY. She attended Nazareth College for a Bachelor's degree in Teaching and Syracuse University for her Masters degree in Teaching. She taught in Utica for a short time before beginning to pursue a career in social work. She worked as a social worker for 30 years and even after retirement continued to work part time. There are not enough words to describe how beautiful of a person Pat was, but to name a few, she was kind, selfless, brave, strong, and all around had the biggest heart. She spent her life putting other peoples needs before her own. Pat was an amazing mother and the most caring wife. She cared so much for everyone. As a mother she was always supporting and a part of the social scene of her children, whether that be cheering on the sidelines of sports games, helping with boy/girl scout meetings, or applauding at dance recitals, she was fully supportive all of the time. She enjoyed traveling, sight seeing to new and exciting places and even taking a cruise with her loving husband. Pat belonged to the Lions Club, volunteered for the Gilda's Club, volunteered for different needs for St. Christopher's Church where she was a member of, and volunteered or helped anyone else in need. Pat was a FIGHTER. First diagnosed in 2010 with Ovarian Cancer, she came out a SURVIVOR. In 2013 it returned, and she went through another round of treatments, and once again SHE fought through it. Overcoming some hard obstacles, in early 2020 the cancer returned and she began more treatments. Her OPTIMISM and STRENGTH was inspiring for all around her during this time and even to the very end. Family and friends may call Thursday, December 10, 2020, from 3pm-6pm at Leo Bean & Sons funeral home. 2771 Chili Ave. We are so thankful for such beautiful and loving memories of her to keep her spirit going with us forever.
