Mary C. Bleier

April 29, 2022

Friday, April 29, 2022 at age 90. Predeceased by her husband, Raymond. Survived by her sons, Tom (Tonya), Steve (Sue), Andy (Debbie), Kevin (Kaveh), Chris (Angela) and Mike (Kara); grandchildren, Derrick, Serena, Brandon, Stephanie, Travis, Joseph and Mora; great-grandchildren Andrew, Lucas, Maverick and Ace; brother, Fred Myhaver; and many dear nephews, nieces and friends. Mary was born and raised in Peterborough, New Hampshire with parents Wesley and Isabel Myhaver and siblings, Fred, Jean and John. She ventured out with her sister, Jean, to Rochester where she made her home with husband, Ray and six boys, Tom, Steve, Andy, Kevin, Chris and Mike. Mary and Ray settled in Chili for the last 50+ years and were heavily involved at the St Pius X Church, singing in the choir, working at the credit union and lending a helping hand whenever needed. As if managing a family of 6 boys wasn't enough, Mary played on the Rochester women's hockey team which included many of the wives from the Rochester Amerks. Mary also enjoyed bowling, biking, skiing, and was eager to try any sporting activity including parasailing, ziplining, and jet skiing. Mary loved to help others by volunteering for ‘Meals on Wheels’, working at the local elections and as a teacher's assistant at the local schools. Mary especially enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in the Thousand Islands, participating in many family gatherings, activities and games, while making great friends along the way. Mary loved to travel and visit the out-of-town family. She also enjoyed attending local events including the Octoberfest, Ice Fests, Lilac Festival and more. Mary was in her element when surrounded by friends and family and most people remember her most by her never ending smile while breaking out into song throughout the day. Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 12th from 4-7pm at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Friday, May 13th at 10am at St. Pius Tenth Church, 3000 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Pius Tenth Church are welcome.
