Leonard R. Korn Rochester - Leonard R. Korn, 86 of Rochester, N.Y. Len was born September 19, 1935 and passed away on November 30, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia of nearly 60 years; children, Wendy (John) Sentiff, Diane (Tim) Nesbitt and Dennis Korn. He is also the proud Papa/Pop-pop to 3 amazing grandchildren, Catherine, Benjamin and Gracie. He is also survived by sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews along with extended family members. He is predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Fred Korn and his siblings, Chuck, Dick, Wilma, Fred, Don and Bob. He served in the Army during the Berlin Conflict. He was proud of his rank as Sargent and cooking for the officers at Fort Dix. He served for 6 years. Leonard retired from Coca-Cola after many years in the beverage and grocery business. He was a season ticket holder for the Red Wings, board member and later Vice President of Rochester Community Baseball for 40 years. His love of baseball is something he shared with the love of his life, Sylvia. He enjoyed going to church, golfing, playing cards, computer games, driving cars for local car dealerships, and especially spending time with his family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pastor Jason Boyd, Carolyn Jean, Dr Sousou and URMC Hospice Team for all their care and comfort. We also appreciate all the cards, letters, visits and food deliveries from so many dear friends and family. Calling Hours will be held Monday evening December 6, 2021 4PM-7PM at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home. A gathering to celebrate Len's life will be held on Tuesday, 12/7/2021 at 10:30 am at Henrietta United Church of Christ, 1400 Lehigh Station Rd, Henrietta, NY 14467 and will be shared via youtube @ https://youtu.be/jpQ_QWJuKfE. Masks are required for in person attendance for both.
