Jody Ann D'Ambrosio-Rowe

Sunday January 7, 2024. Predeceased by her sister, Josie Gray. Survived by her children, Laura (Allan) Campisi, Adam (Ally) Rowe, Jamie Rowe, granddaughter, Josephine; siblings, Ann Jackson, Peter (Diane) D'Ambrosio, Gene D'Ambrosio, Shirley (Tony) Christopher; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. The world lost a loving mother, beloved GiGi, and friend to all on January 7th, 2024. Jody was predeceased by her mother, Loretta D’ambrosio, her father, Anthony D’Ambrosio and her cherished sister, Josie (Josephine) Gray. Jody Ann was born on September 3rd, 1962 in Rochester, NY. She grew up surrounded by the love of her family, first on Lyell Ave and then eventually moving to LeRoy, right next to her sister Ann. While living in LeRoy, she discovered her love for animals, helping out on her sister’s farm. She helped to care for all the animals that they had growing up and had a special bond with cats and dogs. She ended up fostering and helping find homes for over 100 cats and dogs throughout the years. Her loving and caring nature not only shone through for the animals of the world but for people too. Her children were always finding out about her acts of kindness through others and never of her own admittance. She was always there to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, or one of her fantastic hugs. She never turned anyone away who needed help, she would do what she could and never expected anything in return. All who knew her and saw a glimpse of her heart knew that they were safe in her presence. She often said that her children were her everything and she embodied that. She was at every single game, every single play, and every single cheer competition that her daughters had. All you had to do was follow the cowbell and milk jug sounds coming from the stands, and there she would be, forever the biggest cheerleader for her girls. She will always be remembered for her unwavering love of her granddaughter. Becoming a grandma, or GiGi as she was known, changed her whole world. They loved to spend time baking, making mackinroni, and of course, going shopping together. Nothing can break the bond they had and her love will live on in Joey. Family and friends may call at Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home on Monday from 10am-12pm. Funeral Service to follow at 12pm at the funeral home.
