James A. Kemp

James A. Kemp Chili - August 16, 1933 to January 27, 2022. Predeceased by his sister, Sandra (Jim) Nichols. Survived by his wife, Karen McConnell Kemp; children, James E. Kemp, Debra (Larry) Pare, Gail Kemp (Byron Lyth), April Urbanik, Sandra Collins, Catie (Tim) Moyer and Robert McConnell; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brian, Melissa, James, Sean, Mark and Amanda; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Anthony, Sam and Mike Huls; and nieces, Darlene, Vicky and Jamie. Jim served in the US Navy from 1951-59. He belongs to the American Legion Post 1504 in Belfast, NY, AMVETS Post 1 in Cuba, NY and the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 412 in Chili, NY. Jim worked at Xerox for 20 years and then retired from Monroe County where he was a security guard. He was a NYS officer in the AMVETS for 15 years as a Voluntary Service Representative and volunteered, along with his wife, at the Batavia Veterans Hospital. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday 3-6pm (Masks Required) at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Service to follow calling at 6pm at the funeral home.
