Harry proudly served his country in the US Army, Occupational Forces, during the Korean War, from 1952-1954. He was a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and Madison High School. Harry enjoyed a long career at Eastman Kodak as an electrical engineer and Department Head of Professional Roll and Sheet Film. After Kodak, he became a tireless volunteer for Flower City Habitat for Humanity as a part of the Saw and Hammer Electrical Crew. Harry was grateful to not only be a part of a great crew, but to have made many great friendships over the years. In his 35 years of retirement, Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, listening to German music and spending time with family at his cottage on Lake Ontario. He enjoyed visiting with the cottage neighbors and friends, especially Doug, who’s friendship and camaraderie he especially appreciated. He was a role model to his family and friends, with a dedication to hard work and family. He would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed electrical work. Harry was a devoted husband and deeply committed to Gerry. He spent his last months with Gerry at Unity Hospital Wegman’s Family Cottages, where the staff showed loving support and care. We are thankful for his life and he will be missed. Until we meet again! Private service and interment at convenience of family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Flower City Habitat for Humanity, https://give.rochesterhabitat.org/checkout/4693, in Harry’s memory.
