Stephen M. Rossetti "Steve"

Steve Rossetti, born January 15, 1941, in Sheffield Pennsylvania, the oldest of three children. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 29, 2026. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Leo Rossetti; and his parents-in-law, Dorothy and Francis Mahoney; Brothers-in-law, John A. Mahoney and Raymond Petcovic. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of nearly 60 years, Kathleen; his beloved children, Timothy (Sylvia) Rossetti, Gregory (Sheila) Rossetti, and Julie Pippenger; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Landon and Rylee Rossetti, and Brock Pippenger; brother, Charlie (Kathy) Rossetti and sister, Mary Petcovic; Sisters-in-law, Theresa Mahoney, Margaret Mahoney, Karen (Michael) Walsh, Jane Mahoney as well as several nieces and nephews. Steve graduated as valedictorian of his high school class in 1958 and went on to attend the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. A devoted Notre Dame fan, he “bled Blue and gold” and enjoyed hosting friends and family for tailgates and cheering on his team, often serving as an enthusiastic armchair official during especially contentious games. He spent 30 plus years working at Eastman Kodak Company as a planner. His career took him and his family to England for two and a half years, where he contributed to work on the Disc Camera project. Steve had many opportunities to travel and visited many memorable places including Japan, Germany, Italy, and Ireland. Steve had a lifelong love of sports, especially golf. While living in Europe, he had the opportunity to play at the legendary St. Andrews Golf Course in Scotland, an experience he treasured. He was deeply involved in his children’s athletic activities and later took great joy in supporting his grandchildren’s sports interests. In retirement, Steve and Kathy enjoyed traveling with dear friends, visiting many destinations across the United States and Canada. He also treasured time spent socializing with lifelong friends and former coworkers, whether on the golf course or over lunch. Though he held an engineering degree, Steve was humorously challenged by everyday technology something that brought endless entertainment to his family. He was known for his remarkable memory, especially when it came to past events, dates, and numbers. The family would like to thank Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center for the care and compassion Steve received in his final days. Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 10:00am, at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Road, Rochester, NY 14626. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
