Robert S. Valerio

Robert S. Valerio -1955-2020 Bob was a beloved son of the late James and Jeannine Valerio. He was a loving father to Robert J Valerio (Lynsy) and proud grandfather of Korey, Michael, Robert, Dominic, Vincent, John, Carmen, Veronica, Gianna, Faustina and Graciela. Beloved brother to Jamie (Mary), Michael (Karen), Lynda (Dan) Cole. Beloved uncle to his 10 nieces and nephews and cherished by many extended family members and close friends. Bob graduated from Gates Chili High School, MCC and SUNY Brockport, Cum Laud with a degree in Communications. His early work experiences included employment at supermarkets and construction projects. He was a staff reporter for the"Gates Chili News". He became a licensed realtor and was a broker/ owner of Village Park Properties. He also was a licensed Property Appraiser. Bob was a consummate people person! His presence "lit up" the room! He was genuinely kind and generous with his time and energy. Whenever family members had a project, he volunteered to help out with painting or landscaping. Bob had many interests. He loved vegetable gardening, sharing the greater part of his harvest. He was a devout member of St.Jude's Parish Blue Army, a spiritual devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. His many hobbies included CB radio talks, watching the Buffalo Bills, singing "oldies", reading, studying herbal remedies, fishing and going for long drives in the NYS countryside. He had a great talent for telling entertaining stories to a captive audience. He especially delighted in charming the medical staff at the Rochester Regional hospitals and nursing facilities with his interesting and humorous tales and was acutely interested in knowing each individual's life story. His family wishes to thank the many wonderful caregivers that nurtured Bob in his last years of declining health. Your efforts are so greatly appreciated and God bless you all.
