Pearl A. Enright

Taken home near the turn of day on Monday, April 21, 2025 at age 75, Pearl was predeceased by her parents, James and Arline Enright; and aunt Adelaide. Survived by her son, Mikel; granddaughters, Mileva and Victoria; sister, Jacqueline (Duane) Hanselman; nephew, Duane; niece, Janine (Steve); cousins considered brothers, Douglas (Inda), Timothy (Carol), Ray (Pat); and many other loving relatives and friends. Born at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Pearl enjoyed her early life with her mother and sister with whom she moved to Rochester early on. She was extremely studious and driven, graduating from John Marshall High School in 1968. Leveraging her unrivaled work ethic, diligently sticking to plans and goals, and with a little help from trusted family; Pearl purchased a home in the city of Rochester. Continuing to strive and set a foundation as she worked in some of her nearly 30 years at Monroe County, she then welcomed her son, and soon parlayed her dedication into a new home in the suburb of Chili. Instilled with a strong sense of family, continuously holding it and her loved ones themselves close, Pearl made sure to always spend holidays with her mother, and her sister Jackie and her family at each major holiday, alternating the hosting responsibilities with her sister. Also, staying close with her favored aunt Adelaide, and making sure to spend much time and many holidays with her and her amazing clan. Pearl also coordinated and incorporated many get togethers with her close friends throughout the years. Pearl also enjoyed travel and made sure to take her mother and son on yearly vacations to various attractions across the country, always making sure to include a stop at any local floral gardens in order to revel in one of her lifelong loves, gardening. Cultivated by an early love of the classic “The Secret Garden,” Pearl enjoyed managing her own plants throughout her life at her own little castle with her many secret gardens in Chili. She continued to travel across our great country in her later years visiting many states and attractions with close friends and family. One of Pearl’s other great loves were animals in general, and specifically those she called her own; Guy, Calis, Dottie, Speckles, and her beloved Buffy. Pear cared for them as if she birthed them herself, with all of her animal companions living exceptionally long, healthy, happy, engaging, comfortable lives. Finally, Pearl’s great legacy are the children in her life that she loved, inspired, and helped rear. In her early years, this legacy was greatest in her own son, Mikel; but also extended to the great love she had for her nephew and niece, Duane and Janine. In her twilight years this was most evident in her love and compassion for her two young granddaughters, whom she anticipated, loved, revered, and doted on every chance that life afforded; including later when mobility escaped her, she never smiled brighter than when she was able to revel in their, and their cousins, lives, stories, energy, and exploits. Further stories and remembrances of Pearl can be shared at her calling hours at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home Saturday April 26th, 2025, from 11am to 1pm. There will be a small dedication and service near the end of the calling hours, starting at approximately 12:40pm and extending to the end of the calling hours, with Pearl being laid to rest at a later time and date yet to be determined.
