Joseph Edward Robinson August 31, 1940 – August 15, 2026 Joseph Edward Robinson, 85, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in Rochester, New York, on August 31, 1940, Joe lived a life marked by hard work, service, and a deep appreciation for family and friends. He dedicated 40 years of service to Wegmans, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of colleagues throughout his career. Even after retiring, Joe remained active, spending several years working at Spoleta Construction and later at Brook-Lea Country Club. Joe was also proud to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter for more than 15 years. Joe found joy in golfing, fishing, woodworking, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Above all else, he treasured time spent with family and friends. His kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. In September 2023, Joe became a resident of Episcopal Senior Life's Seabury Woods, where he enjoyed the companionship, care, and friendships that enriched his final years. Joe was preceded in death by his longtime partner of more than 40 years, Anne Mooney; his brother, James Robinson; and his extended family member, Jerry Patterson. He is survived by the mother of his children, Diane Robinson; his sister, Barbara Brayer; his children, Kirsten Fannon, Kirk Robinson (Jenny), and Kris Moore; and Anne's children, Tom Mooney (Lucila), Anne Marie Patterson (Dan), and Jennifer Sawyer (Tim), who were a cherished part of his life for more than four decades. He was also the proud grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 2, as well as a beloved uncle and friend to many. Joe and his family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Kathy Patterson and her family, whose love, support, and friendship meant so much to him throughout the years. Joe will be remembered for his generous spirit, unwavering devotion to those he loved, and the countless memories he created with family and friends. Whether sharing stories, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying the company of those around him, Joe made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with Anne and loved ones who went before him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Family and friends are invited to his memorial service on Saturday, September 19, 2026, @ 11am at Leo M Bean & Sons Funeral Home 2771 Chili Ave, Rochester, NY, followed by a Celebration of Life, with location details to be announced.
