Christopher W. Lysy

Wednesday, February 19, 2025 suddenly at age 55 predeceased by his father Dennis, grandparents Walter (Jane) Lysy and George W. "Boppa" (Joyce) Apthorp. Survived by his mother Sharon Apthorp, wife Melissa, children Bruce, Michelle, Madelyn, and Katelyn, granddaughter Allison "Fussy Britches", sisters Kimberly (Kevin) Wake, Amanda (Jayson) Robinson, father and mother-in-law John and Karen Kleinhans, brother-in-law Brandon Kleinhans, sister-in-law Bethany (Kenny) Benson, several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Chris Lysy, a loving son, brother, husband, father, papa, uncle and friend. Chris lived a life filled with love, laugher and happiness. A extraordinary man of many talents and passions. He found joy in camping, cooking and riding his Harley. He was an enthusiastic host that loved entertaining family and friends, especially through his legendary BBQs. His love for baking allowed him to pass down cherished family recipes and traditions to his children. The love he shared with his wife, his soulmate and the love of his life, was the foundation of the beautiful family they built together. They created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and endless love. The family they nurtured together is a lasting testament to the strength of their love, one that will be carried on through their children and future generations. Chris proudly served in the National Guard and Reserves, was a dedicated volunteer Firefighter and EMT, and also took great pride in being a member of the American Legion. He worked at the Genesee Brewing Company, where he made lasting friendships and contributed to a company he took great pride in. Chris was known for his infectious smile and kind heart. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he offered guidance, love and support to those who needed it. He taught his children countless life lessons, always emphasizing the importance of family, hard work and enjoying the simple moments of life. His legacy of love and strength will forever be carried on by those who knew him and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Family and friends may call at Leo M Bean and Sons Funeral Home, 2771 Chili Avenue, Monday 12-3pm, with funeral service to follow at 3pm at the Funeral Home.
